Blood test could predict melanoma treatment resistance

NCT ID NCT04866680

Summary

This study is testing whether analyzing tumor DNA found in blood can help doctors predict when melanoma treatments might stop working. It involves 136 patients with stage IIB-IV melanoma who have had surgery and are receiving standard follow-up treatments. Researchers will track DNA levels in blood samples to see if changes predict treatment resistance before it becomes clinically apparent.
