Could a simple blood test free diabetics from daily insulin shots?
NCT ID NCT06148376
Summary
This study tested a personalized plan to see if some people with type 2 diabetes who take multiple daily insulin shots could safely stop their mealtime insulin. Researchers used specific blood tests to check patients' natural insulin production and then had some participants stop their mealtime shots. They followed up after six months to see how well blood sugar was controlled and if quality of life improved.
