Lab-Grown Mini-Tumors could guide treatment for tough cancers

NCT ID NCT05267912

Summary

This study is testing a personalized approach for patients with advanced solid tumors that have stopped responding to standard treatments. Doctors take a small sample of a patient's tumor and grow it into a 3D model in the lab. They then test different cancer drugs on this model to see which ones might work best for that specific patient, aiming to guide the next treatment choice and better control the disease.
