Summary
This study tested a personalized approach to treating advanced cancer that had stopped responding to standard treatments. Researchers analyzed the genetic makeup of each patient's tumor to find specific abnormalities. Patients were then randomly assigned to receive either a drug targeting that specific abnormality or a conventional chemotherapy chosen by their doctor.
