First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 28 times
Summary
This study looked at 20 adults with acute hypoxemic respiratory failure (low oxygen levels) to see how different noninvasive breathing support methods affect lung function. Researchers compared standard CPAP and NIV with a personalized approach guided by the patient's breathing effort. The goal was to understand which method best reduces the risk of self-inflicted lung injury.
