First seen Mar 12, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 11 times

Summary

This study tests a personalized approach to breast radiotherapy, selecting the right dose and technique based on each patient's risk of cancer returning and their chance of side effects. It involves 854 women with invasive breast cancer who have had surgery. The main goal is to see if this tailored method lowers the rate of serious fibrosis (scarring) and radiation-induced sarcoma, while still controlling the cancer.
