Blood test could customize breast cancer radiation, reduce side effects

NCT ID NCT06382818

Summary

This study aims to personalize radiation therapy for breast cancer patients based on their individual risk of the cancer returning and their personal likelihood of experiencing side effects. Researchers will use a blood test to predict a patient's sensitivity to radiation and group them into one of four treatment plans. The goal is to match each patient with the radiation approach that best controls their cancer while minimizing potential harm from treatment.
