New test guides safer radiation for sensitive breast cancer patients
NCT ID NCT06053086
Summary
This study is testing a more personalized approach to radiotherapy for breast cancer patients at high risk of both side effects and the cancer returning. It uses a new blood test to identify patients who are especially sensitive to radiation, then gives them a more precise, adaptive form of radiation therapy. The goal is to control the cancer while reducing severe side effects like scarring and skin changes.
