Custom brain zaps tested to reboot thinking after stroke
NCT ID NCT07150169
Summary
This study is testing a personalized, two-step method to improve thinking skills like memory and focus after a stroke. Researchers will first use brain scans to find each person's unique target area, then use magnetic stimulation to temporarily disrupt that area to see if it's involved in thinking tasks. The goal is to validate a proof-of-concept for a more tailored approach to cognitive rehabilitation for 15 stroke patients and 10 healthy individuals.
