Precision mapping could boost brain tumor treatment effectiveness
NCT ID NCT05086497
Summary
This study is testing whether using advanced MRI techniques to create personalized maps for electrical therapy devices works better than standard mapping for glioblastoma brain tumors. Participants who are starting the Optune electrical therapy will receive either standard mapping or more precise mapping based on special brain scans that show tumor spread beyond what regular MRIs reveal. Researchers want to see if this personalized approach delivers more effective treatment to kill tumor cells, reduce recurrence, and improve survival and quality of life.
