Can Biomarker-Guided biologics tame psoriasis and arthritis?

NCT ID NCT07149792

First seen Jun 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 26, 2026

Summary

This study tests whether using a person's unique biomarkers to choose their biologic treatment works better than the standard approach for psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis. About 50 adults in Taiwan will be randomly assigned to either a personalized selection group or a standard group. Researchers will track skin clearance, joint pain, and quality of life over up to 3 years.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.

Active substance
biologics
What this could lead to
If successful, this could show that choosing biologics based on individual biomarkers leads to better control of psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis symptoms.
What could go wrong
This is a small, early-phase trial with only 50 participants, so results may not apply to everyone. The approach may not prove better than standard care.
