New heart mapping tech aims to make irregular heartbeat treatment more precise
NCT ID NCT07358611
Summary
This pilot study is testing a more personalized approach to catheter ablation for persistent atrial fibrillation (AF), an irregular heartbeat. Researchers are using a noninvasive mapping system to identify specific areas in the heart that may be driving the AF, then targeting those areas during the standard ablation procedure. They will compare this personalized method to the standard approach to see if it better stops the irregular rhythm during the procedure and reduces its return over the following year.
