Tailored heart zapping: could personalized mapping improve AFib treatment?

NCT ID NCT07358611

First seen Jan 22, 2026 · Last updated Apr 24, 2026 · Updated 18 times

Summary

This pilot study tests whether using a noninvasive body-surface map to guide catheter ablation can improve outcomes for people with persistent atrial fibrillation (AFib). Thirty adults with enlarged left atria who have not had prior ablation will receive a personalized ablation procedure. Researchers will compare their results to those from standard ablation to see if the personalized approach stops AFib more often and reduces recurrence over two years.
