This study looked at how often the diaphragm (the main breathing muscle) remains weak after heart surgery. Researchers followed 157 adults who had open-heart surgery and used ultrasound to check diaphragm movement. The goal was to find out how common persistent diaphragm problems are and whether they lead to more breathing complications.
