New disc implant aims to ease back and leg pain after herniation surgery

Summary
This study tests a new artificial disc implant (PerQdisc) placed during surgery to treat a herniated disc in the lower back. The implant is meant to replace the removed disc material and help reduce pain and improve function. About 50 adults with leg pain from a herniated disc will take part to see if the device is safe and works well.
