Summary

This study aimed to determine whether peritoneal dialysis or hemodialysis leads to better survival rates for people with end-stage kidney disease. Researchers randomly assigned 416 patients to receive one of these two common dialysis treatments and followed them to compare outcomes. The study also examined quality of life, infection rates, hospitalizations, and other health measures between the two treatment approaches.
