Scientists launch biobank to uncover hidden changes in dialysis patients

Summary
This study collects small tissue samples from the belly lining of children and adults on peritoneal dialysis. The goal is to learn how dialysis changes this lining over time, which can affect treatment success. Participants include people with kidney failure on dialysis, healthy people having routine abdominal surgery, and those who have had a kidney transplant. No extra procedures are done—samples are taken during medically necessary surgeries.
