NCT ID NCT05689567
First seen Jan 07, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 19 times
Summary
This study tests whether special glasses that blur peripheral vision can help prevent nearsightedness (myopia) in children aged 6 to 8 who are at higher risk because one parent is nearsighted. A total of 160 children will wear either these glasses or regular glasses for 2 years, and researchers will measure changes in their eyesight. The goal is to see if this simple approach can keep children from becoming nearsighted.
