Heart watch: simple blood test may spot injury during leg surgery

Summary
This study looks at whether a sensitive blood test can find heart damage in adults having leg surgery with a nerve block. Researchers will measure troponin levels during and after surgery in 54 participants. The goal is to see if this test helps predict heart problems, not to treat them.
