This study investigates whether severe gum disease (periodontitis) changes the quality and quantity of a blood-derived material called leukocyte- and platelet-rich fibrin (L-PRF), which is used to help heal gums and bone after dental procedures. Researchers will compare L-PRF samples from 32 adults—half with healthy gums and half with advanced gum disease—looking at the structure, cell content, and growth factor release.
