Summary
This study tests a new AI system (PerioAI V2.0) that combines 3D mouth scans and X-rays to create a detailed map of gum disease. Researchers will enroll 80 adults with moderate-to-severe periodontitis to see if the AI can accurately identify bone defects and measure disease severity compared to what surgeons see during actual surgery. The goal is to help dentists plan more precise treatments without relying solely on manual probing.
