Gum health may impact how your mouth heals after a tooth pull

NCT ID NCT04805320

First seen Dec 16, 2025 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 23 times

Summary

This study looks at how inflammation in the gums affects the body's immune response during healing after a tooth is removed. Researchers will measure gum health before extraction, take small tissue samples right after and again two weeks later, and check healing at three months. The goal is to understand the connection between gum inflammation and wound healing, not to test a new treatment.
