First seen Mar 11, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 15 times

Summary

This study tests whether using a pelvic wand for perineal massage during late pregnancy and labor can help women feel more in control during childbirth. Researchers will compare the experiences of 140 pregnant women who either receive standard care or add this massage technique. The goal is to see if this simple, self-directed practice improves a woman's sense of agency and reduces pelvic discomfort.
