First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 05, 2026 · Updated 18 times

Summary

This early-phase study tests whether injecting a long-lasting nerve block (lidocaine and alcohol) around the prostate can slow cancer growth in 12 men with high-risk localized prostate cancer. The main goal is to find a safe dose and check for side effects. If successful, this approach could offer a new way to control the disease without lifelong medication.
