First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 24 times
Summary
This study tested whether a measure of blood flow in the finger (called perfusion index) can predict how well a nerve block injection will relieve chronic neck pain. Researchers studied 92 adults with neck pain from conditions like herniated discs or spinal narrowing. They measured pain levels and blood flow before and after the injection to see if changes in blood flow could tell who would get good pain relief.
