New peptide gel aims to regrow gum bone in landmark trial

Summary
This study tests whether a new peptide-rich hydrogel can safely help regrow bone and tissue damaged by severe gum disease. Forty adults will receive either the peptide gel or a standard hyaluronic acid gel during gum surgery. Researchers will compare bone healing and gum attachment over one year to see if the new gel works as well or better than current treatments.
