Nurses take lead in testing to remove unnecessary penicillin allergy labels

NCT ID NCT07127835

Summary

This study is testing whether a team approach led by nurses and allergy specialists can safely and effectively remove penicillin allergy labels from patients' medical records. It will compare this new method to the traditional doctor-only approach to see if it works just as well, improves patients' quality of life, and uses resources more efficiently. The goal is to help more people who may not actually be allergic safely use penicillin antibiotics when needed.
