First seen Feb 01, 2026 · Last updated May 09, 2026 · Updated 15 times
Summary
This study looked at how much local anesthetic to use in a nerve block (called PENG block) to best control pain after hip replacement surgery. Fifty adults having hip surgery received different volumes of the block. The goal was to find the most effective dose to reduce pain scores and the need for opioid painkillers, while also checking for side effects like nausea.
