Cancer-Detecting pen tested in surgery
NCT ID NCT07298083
Summary
This study is testing a handheld pen-like device that analyzes tissue during surgery. The goal is to see if it can quickly and accurately tell the difference between normal tissue, benign nerve tumors (neurofibromas), and a rare, aggressive cancer called MPNST. This could help surgeons remove tumors more precisely in real-time.
