Scientists probe surprising link between skin disease and gum health
NCT ID NCT07384221
Summary
This study aims to understand if there is a connection between how severe a person's Pemphigus Vulgaris (a chronic autoimmune skin disease) is and the health of their gums. Researchers will examine 20 adult patients with the condition, checking their mouth sores and measuring specific antibodies in their blood. They will compare these results with detailed measurements of the patients' gum health to see if the disease's severity affects oral tissues.
