Sitting study aims to prevent spine problems in kids with cerebral palsy

NCT ID NCT05657548

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 11, 2026 · Updated 25 times

Summary

This study looks at how the pelvis and spine line up when children with cerebral palsy sit. Many kids with CP who don't walk much develop spine and pelvic problems, but there are no clear guidelines for taking X-rays while sitting. By measuring these angles, researchers hope to create better monitoring methods to prevent deformities. The study involves 100 children aged 4 to 17 who have limited walking ability.
