Digital blueprints aim to restore walking after pelvic cancer surgery

Summary

This study is developing personalized computer models to help surgeons plan the best way to remove pelvic tumors while preserving a patient's ability to walk. Researchers will analyze movement and imaging data from 130 adults before and after major pelvic surgery. The goal is to use these digital models to predict which surgical and rehabilitation choices will lead to the best walking function for each individual patient.
