New surgery aims to fix pelvic organ prolapse in small study

Summary
This study tests a new surgical technique to treat pelvic organ prolapse, a condition where pelvic organs drop from their normal position. Ten women who need a hysterectomy and have at least stage 1 prolapse will receive the new suspension surgery using special ligaments. The goal is to see if the prolapse stage improves after surgery.
