New exercise combo aims to help kids stop wetting themselves
NCT ID NCT07267364
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tests whether adding a special exercise method (dynamic neuromuscular stabilization) to standard pelvic floor training helps children with voiding dysfunction. About 48 children aged 5-18 will be randomly assigned to standard training or the combined program for 10 weeks. Researchers will measure symptoms, quality of life, and bladder function before and after treatment.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
pelvic floor muscle training with or without dynamic neuromuscular stabilization exercises
What this could lead to
If it works, this could offer a better exercise program to help children control urination and improve their quality of life.
What could go wrong
This is a small, early-stage trial with only 48 children. The added benefit of the new exercise method may be small or not last long.
