NCT ID NCT07316192

First seen Jan 08, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 19 times

Summary

This study tests whether a new wound dressing called Pelashield PainGuard helps people heal better after surgery for hidradenitis suppurativa (HS) compared to the current standard dressing, Restrata. Pelashield contains silver to fight bacteria and lidocaine to reduce pain. Ten adults with severe HS who need surgery will be enrolled, and their results will be compared to past patients who used Restrata. The goal is to see if the new dressing leads to less pain, fewer infections, and faster healing.
