NCT ID NCT07441473

First seen Mar 17, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 5 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a program led by senior nursing students—using videos filmed in real hospital settings, interactive sessions, and a guided tour—can help first-year nursing students feel less overwhelmed and adapt better during their first time in a clinical environment. About 90 students will be split into two groups: one gets the special peer-supported program, the other gets the usual orientation. Researchers will measure their levels of 'reality shock' and clinical adjustment using surveys at two points over six weeks.
