Veterans helping veterans: new program aims to stop suicide

Summary
This study is testing whether a support program delivered by Veteran peer specialists can help prevent suicide. It will enroll 306 Veterans at risk for suicide to compare a 3-month peer support program against usual care. The program involves 12 one-on-one sessions focused on building hope, connection, and safety.
