Storytelling and coaching aim to boost COPD rehab participation
NCT ID NCT05399056
First seen Jan 09, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 19 times
Summary
This study tests two ways to encourage people with COPD to attend pulmonary rehabilitation after a flare-up: watching videos of other patients sharing their rehab success stories, or getting phone coaching from someone who has been through it. Researchers will compare these approaches to standard care in 305 adults aged 40 and older. The goal is to see if these methods increase the number of people who complete at least 6 rehab sessions.
