Summary

This study tests whether trained Veteran peer specialists can help prevent suicide among other Veterans at risk. The program involves 12 one-on-one conversations over three months, focusing on building hope, connection, and safety. Researchers will compare this peer support approach to usual care to see if it better reduces suicide risk and improves recovery.
