Veterans helping veterans: new program aims to support Moms' mental health
NCT ID NCT07362576
Summary
This study is creating and testing a new support program for pregnant and postpartum veterans who have serious mental health conditions like depression, PTSD, or bipolar disorder. The program will connect these veterans with trained peer specialists—other veterans who have personal experience managing mental illness—for guidance and support. Researchers will work with veterans and doctors to design the program, then pilot it with about 24 participants to see if it's helpful and practical to use.
