Can a recovered Peer's help keep people in opioid treatment?

NCT ID NCT07197801

Summary

This study is testing whether adding support from a trained peer who has personal experience with addiction and recovery helps people stay in their medication treatment for opioid use disorder. Researchers will compare two groups: one receiving standard clinic care plus meetings with a peer specialist for up to 6 months, and another receiving standard care alone. The main goal is to see if the peer support improves how long people continue their prescribed medication treatment.
