Can a buddy system help beat opioid addiction?
NCT ID NCT06696066
Summary
This small pilot study tested whether a new peer support program could help people stay in medication treatment for opioid addiction. Thirteen adults starting treatment met regularly with a trained recovery coach for six months. The main goal was to see if the program was practical and acceptable to patients, to prepare for a larger future trial.
