Summary
This study tests whether connecting liver transplant recipients who had alcohol-related liver disease with trained peer support specialists improves their recovery. The peer specialists have personal experience with similar challenges and will provide regular support between medical visits. Researchers want to see if this approach helps participants avoid returning to alcohol use, stay engaged with their medical care, and live longer.
