Veterans get a helping hand after mental health hospital stay
NCT ID NCT05758376
Summary
This study tested a new program called 'Recovery Bridge,' where a trained peer specialist helps veterans transition from a psychiatric hospital stay back to living in their community. The goal was to see if this support makes the process easier, helps veterans connect with outpatient care, and reduces the chance of being readmitted to the hospital. Researchers worked with 15 veterans to see if the program was practical and acceptable before planning a larger trial.
