First seen Nov 06, 2025 · Last updated Jun 13, 2026 · Updated 31 times

Summary

This study tested whether support from a trained peer specialist—a fellow Veteran who has faced similar challenges—can help Veterans at high risk for suicide. 17 Veterans took part, and researchers measured changes in hope, connection, and suicidal thoughts.
