First seen Mar 20, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 6 times

Summary

This study tests whether an AI-informed peer mentoring program can help healthy teens (12-18) and young adults (18-25) manage stress and build social skills, reducing their risk of developing anxiety or depression. Over 1,600 participants will be assigned to either the AI mentoring program, a standard mentoring program, or a health education program. The goal is to see if the AI approach is more effective at preventing these conditions from emerging.
