Can fellow patients help manage schizophrenia better than doctors?
NCT ID NCT03246932
Summary
This study tested whether education groups led by fellow patients with schizophrenia could help others manage their condition better than groups led by professionals or standard care alone. It involved 342 Chinese adults with schizophrenia who were followed for two years. Researchers measured symptoms, hospital stays, and daily functioning to see which approach worked best.
