New foam treatment tested for kids with bowel disease

NCT ID NCT05976802

Summary

This study is testing whether a rectal foam medication called budesonide can help control symptoms and bring about remission in children ages 5-17 with mild to moderate ulcerative colitis affecting the lower part of the colon. Researchers will compare two different doses of the foam against a placebo foam to see which works better. The treatment involves using the foam twice daily for two weeks, then once daily for four weeks.
