Summary
This study is testing whether budesonide extended-release tablets can help children aged 5-17 with mild to moderate ulcerative colitis achieve remission. Participants will take either the study medication or a placebo for 8 weeks while continuing their current background medications. The main goal is to see if the treatment reduces symptoms like rectal bleeding and frequent bowel movements.
