First seen Nov 12, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 21 times

Summary

This study looks at small molecules called micro RNA in the blood of children with sepsis. The goal is to see if these molecules can help doctors find sepsis earlier and track how well treatment is working. About 50 children aged 1 to 18 in the pediatric intensive care unit will take part. Researchers will compare these new markers with standard tests to see which are more accurate.
